TBayIT provides servers loaded with Red Hat Linux to meet the needs of our clients that require a stable platform and wish to use the tools that are available only on the Linux platform.

Features of Red Hat Linux Plans Include:

• PHP, CGI/Perl installed on Apache Web Server
• One Free MySQL Database

• Dual Pentium 4 running at 3.2 GHz, 2 Gigabytes of RAM

Network Connectivity:

• Two connection entry vaults at building property line, currently supporting 864 strands of fiber-optic cable.
• Redundant cable and fiber-optic vaults guarantee room for massive network expansion through multiple existing duct banks.
• Four major carriers (XO, MFN, WorldCom & Pacific Bell) currently utilize the building's fiber-optic access, with fiber capacity to spare.
• Diverse, redundant paths to MDF and Telco rooms.
• Telco environments with 8,000 amps of DC distribution are available on the first floor.
• One MDF (Main Distribution Frame) room per two computing rooms, assuring survivability through an isolated disaster.
• Not located in Thunder Bay as facilities with the required redundancy, security and connectivity are unavailable.
• POP (Point of Presence) and Cross Connecting services available on-site.

Databases with MySQL
One MySQL database is Included with all of our Red Hat Linux plans. Additional databases can be purchased at $20 each (once off setup fee). MySQL is a proven, stable database system that powers many of the world's best websites. You can access and administrate your MySQL database through the MySQL administration tool (visit www.mysql.org) or you can use the web-based PHPMyAdmin directly on our servers.

Domain Pointers and Sub-Domains:
Point other domains to your website (ie www.tbayit.ca points to www.tbayit.com). Each domain you wish pointed to your website will cost a once off setup fee of $20. Use sub-domains to segregate content on your website (ie web.tbayit.com is a subdomain for the www.tbayit.com domain). Each sub-domain you wish to setup will cost a once off setup fee of $20.

SSL Security:
We provide all our web hosting customers with free SSL (https) for their domain. This is ideal as a quick security setup for private and secure pages but it is not done in your name as it is server wide. In order for you to have your own SSL certificate you must purchase a unique IP address. A unique IP address costs $150.00 per year and you must purchase your own certificate from a secure certificate provider (ie Verisign, Thawte, GoDaddy, etc). Optionally, TBayIT can set up everything for you for a fee of $200.00 per year using a GoDaddy Turbo SSL Certificate.

If you are looking for a hosting account to run PHPBB, PHPNuke, or any other third party program (Open Source or purchased) we will install and configure it for optimal operation on our servers. Please inquire for eligible products.
