      Phishing Scam


This email I just received, notice the IP address 65.98.115.120, this isn't the right address, anytime that you see numbers instead of a domain is a sure sign that the link you are clicking on isn't going to the right site. But also beware that even if the right link appears, it may still point to a wrong site. Always open your browser, then type in the URL in the address bar.



Dear Bank of the West customer,

We recently reviewed your account, and suspect that your
southtrust account may have been accessed by an unauthorized
third party. Protecting the security of your account and of
the Bank of the West network is out primary concern.
Therefore, as a preventative measure, we have temporarily
limited access to sensitive Southtrust Bank account features.
