To say things have been busy with TBayIT would be an understatement. We have been involved in dozens of exciting projects in October and November. Here are some of the projects that we have been working on:

Terrace Bay and Schreiber
The new official website for townships of Terrace Bay and Schreiber will be launching later this month. This project started in the Spring and has been one of our largest to date. It has been a great pleasure to work with the dedicated members of the marketing committee who made our job easier by contributing greatly to the development of these new websites. Both websites will use our Content Management System with many exciting new plug-ins and modules including a Job Bank, Business Directory and the ability to Send a Postcard. The sites will share common parts to make updating more efficient and help each community build of the success of the other. After November 29th, 2007 you will be able to access the new sites at www.schreiber.ca and www.terracebay.ca. Check back here after the site launches for an indepth look at the features that were developed for these websites.

Lake Superior Birds
Just launched on November 14th, 2007, Lake Superior Birds is an online tool that allows visitors to log their bird sightings into this database. The site is a partnership between Trout Lake Learning Centre and Lake Superior News. The database allows visitors to store coordinates so that a GIS map that will be developed later on. This site makes use of AJAX to easily find different species of birds and the Google API to select and map coordinates of each bird sighting. If you have seen a bird lately, please log it into www.lakesuperiorbirds.com. The site is open to anyone living close to the Lake Superior Basin.

New Web Sites
We are also in the final stages of several new web sites that will be launching in late December to early January. Stay tuned to watch the launch of these exciting new websites.
