Web Specialist

Thunder Bay Information Technology Solutions (TBayIT) is currently seeking a Web Specialist that also possesses general technical knowledge to perform computer trouble-shooting and maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Update and manage web sites using Content Management Systems
- Develop web content using Adobe Dreamweaver
- Create graphics and Flash animations
- Create electronic newsletters and manage online subscription lists
- Provide technical support via email and phone for web site owners
- Provide web hosting support for Windows and Linux Servers
- Manage various aspects of web hosting (spam control, email systems, ftp, permissions, etc)
- Provide on-site technical support (trouble-shooting, upgrading and maintaining PC networks)
Experience & Qualifications:
- Must be proficient with developing web sites (HTML, CSS and JavaScript)
- Must have experience with graphics design and web site layouts
- Experience programming ASP.NET, ASP and PHP
- Experience managing mySQL and Microsoft SQL Server databases
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft Windows based networks (trouble-shooting + maintenance)
- Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects and work independently
- Ability to communicate professionally with prospective clients and existing clients
- Preferred educational background in Multimedia, Web Development, MIS or Computer Science
This is a full-time contract position. Work will take place both on-site with our clients and on your own so you must have access to your own computer (software can be provided if required).
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Rate of Pay: $15/hour
