Case Study 3 - Previous • Next
Client:
Volunteer Thunder Bay
Problem:
Create a website to connect agencies, their opportunities
and volunteers while minimizing administrative work to the Volunteer
Thunder Bay staff.
Solution:
In conjunction to our existing Content Management system we
added a custom developed a three-teir system to manage agencies (members),
opportunities, volunteers, board of directors and administrators. Depending
on your level of administration when you login to the Member Area you
will have a different set of tools available to you. Agencies can update
their profile, view online applications, and manage their volunteering
opportunities. Volunteers can apply online to different opportunities,
update their preferences and access resources available. Staff, Board,
and Administrators can administrate the site and easily flag outdated
opportunities and content. This site automates many of the tasks that
were previously done through paper. This powerful database is quite
large and allows the users to query the database to quickly find the
information they are looking for.
